This site addresses governmental and economic issues at the local,
regional state and national levels. From time to time, AVOC
posts special subjects or human interest articles as well as public
announcements of community interests. It is an independent media
for sharing insight, information and opinion gained from thirty years
experience as a local elected and appointed official and over thirty-five
years as a ‘Country Lawyer". Many issues are much
more complicated than the information that is disseminated in traditional
media outlets where emphasis is often placed on "attention-getting" headlines.
